Rick Darby is founder and principal consultant at SEDATA. For over twenty years he has been providing learning and technology solutions to a wide spectrum of industry and government organizations in North America and Europe. His clients include organizations such Cisco Systems, Convergent Media Systems, Cemex, Mutual of Omaha, and Avnet. A consultant for well known groups such as Scient, iXL, and the IBM-spinout Deltak, Rick was also the architect of the Cisco e-Learning Ecosystem.

Early in his career Rick was on the faculty staff of the University of Rochester Computing Center and Strong Memorial Hospital. He holds a D. Sc. in Computer Science and has published a number of papers and articles on computer based multimedia and learning topics.

Rick is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery, the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, the American Society for Training and Development, the Project Management Institute, and the American Statistical Association.

Rick has been a volunteer and supporter of the American Red Cross, the Girls Scouts of America, The Amateur Radio Emergency Service, and a fund raiser for a number of local dramatic and musical groups.
